College of Denturists of Ontario

The College of Denturists of Ontario (CDO) is the governing body for denturists in Ontario. The Office of the Fairness Commissioner (OFC) oversees the registration practices of the college to ensure that they are transparent, objective, impartial and fair for anyone who wants to practise as a denturist in this province.

Fair Registration Practices (FRP) Report, 2012

On March 26, 2012, the Government of Ontario appointed a supervisor to address fairness and transparency concerns at the College of Denturists of Ontario.

In May 2010, the Minister of Health and Long-Term Care had hired a consultant to conduct an operational review and audit of the college, because she received complaints about its operations.

The consultant based the review on the principles of transparency, objectivity, impartiality and fairness advanced by the Office of the Fairness Commissioner.
